There’s been much speculation since Meghan showed off her three stone diamond engagement ring about the details of the wedding.

The public fell in awe of Prince Harry’s soon-to-be-wife as soon as she was officially introduced with 37% of the British public voting Meghan as their favourite Princess (Express). It’s no wonder everyone wants to know the details of their wedding, Shining Diamonds have come up with a few of our own Royal Wedding predictions for the impending nuptials.
Meghan will stick to yellow gold diamond wedding jewellery
With Meghan’s diamond engagement ring being yellow gold and her being a big fan of yellow gold, there’s a very good chance that Meghan will go for jewellery sophisticated and eye catching – we can see her wearing something like this pair of dazzling diamond stud earrings and a classic yellow gold single row diamond tennis bracelet.
The wedding reception will be less formal
With both Harry and Meghan being a sociable couple with many friends, we think the reception will undoubtedly hold a few surprises and also be less formal than previous royal weddings. With their friends circle spreading from royals to a A listers the guest-list will no doubt reflect this rather than being treated as a state occasion.
Meghan Markle’s wedding dress designer
Meghan has reportedly chosen her wedding dress designer and it is unlikely for the name to be revealed until she arrives at St George Chapel on 19th May. We predict that Meghan will plump for a British label for her wedding dress, One of the top runners is Erdem with Meghan saying in her her Vanity Fair cover interview that she has been wearing Erdem ‘for years.’
She has also stated in an interview with Glamour I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.’ There’s also a close friendship between Harry and the Beckhams which could see Victoria Beckham’s label designing the dress.
The flower bouquet
Although we don’t know exactly what this is going to look like, there is one thing we know for certain: The brides bouquet will have a myrtle, it is royal tradition for every royal bouquet to include the evergreen shrub. The flowers will be designed by London-based florist Philippa Carddock who are known for their lavish and exquisite displays, so the wedding flowers are sure to include white roses, foxgloves and peonies.
The wedding cake
Although typically fruit cake, Meghan and Harry are likely to pass on this tradition for something more modern. The cake will be created by Claire Ptak, who own a London-based bakery Violet Cakes, we see the cake being a traditional base such as sponge or lemon cake with a twist. We also think Megan and Harry will be opting for something a little different to the traditional sugarpaste flowers.
The 2018 Royal Wedding will cost over £32 million
With the costs already stacking up such as Meghan’s stunning yellow gold trilogy diamond engagement ring thought to be worth £122,500, and the Ralph and Russo engagement dress she wore was valued at £56,000. Wedding Planning app, Bridebook predicted that the Royal Wedding would cost over £30 million, basing their figures on a total of 4,040 guests, 17,000 glasses of champagne and wine, 28,000 canapés and an 8-tier cake.
