1. Pearls, pearls, pearls

Traditionally associated with perhaps the older generation, the pearl necklace has been a staple piece since the 19^th century – a delicate string of pearls has always been known for adding a touch of class to any outfit. Summer 2021 is the year pearls make their official comeback – with everyone from international superstar, Harry Styles, to TikTok sensation, Addison Rae, wearing a string of pearls tightly round their neck, you’d be foolish not to invest in one of these timeless pieces.

2. The statement chain link necklace

Pearls aren’t the only statement necklaces in this year. A chunky, chain link necklace has become a staple piece for many – the bigger, the better. Although these pieces are striking and eye catching, their simple design in block gold or silver means they can be dressed up or dressed down. Add a little bit of edge with a gold chain link on a simple tee and jeans combo or don a silver necklace with your glad-rags for a bold and courageous look – either way, this is one of the most diverse pieces this year and a must for your jewellery box.
