How to choose a diamond eternity ring
When looking for an eternity ring for yourself or your partner, you want to be sure the ring you choose is timeless – much like the love it represents. So, you can rest assured your diamond eternity ring will stand the test of time. But how do you select the perfect design?
Firstly, consider the wearer. Take a look at their existing jewellery collection – what metal do they prefer? Do they own statement pieces or more simplistic designs? Do they have an active lifestyle? And if so, does this impact what jewellery they wear?
All of these factors will help narrow down the style of your eternity ring. For example, if the wearer prefers classic, gold jewellery, you may opt for a gold eternity band with a single row of round cut diamonds.
Next, consider the diamond(s). When buying any diamond jewellery, you should always consider the 4C's – cut, colour, clarity and carat – as these characteristics determine the quality and appearance of your diamond(s). What is an eternity ring?
An eternity ring is a diamond ring designed to represent eternal love. A truly romantic gift, eternity rings typically feature a full band of diamonds and are traditionally worn on the ring finger. However, we also offer half, 60% and gemstone eternity rings.
When should you give an eternity ring?
Eternity rings are traditionally given after the couple has married, either as an anniversary gift or for special occasion. But don’t worry too much about the timing. How should you wear an eternity ring?
Eternity rings are traditionally worn on the ring finger. As they are usually gifted after a couple is married, it’s important to stack your rings in the right order. The order is as follows:
- Wedding ring first
- Engagement ring second
- Eternity ring last
What is the difference between a full and a half eternity ring?
A full eternity ring features diamonds around the entire band. Whilst a half eternity ring will only have diamonds covering the top (or visible) half of the ring. Whilst full eternity rings are the traditional option, half eternity rings provide an affordable alternative.
